IMPORTANT: First Session for this free report review is Tuesday 1/3/2022 (Monday Roundtables are reserved for SAMradar users)

The SAM.gov corresponding opportunities posted in Q1 FY2023 search for solicitation and combined synopsis and solicitation shows a total of 26,829 opportunities (see for yourself).

To contrast what is visible on SAM.gov, take a look at the Q1 (October - December) FY2023 spending summary below directly from FPDS.gov: 420,717 contracts signed.

*source FPDS.gov

This chart shows that in Q1 2/3 of contracts have ZERO competition. There are many ways contracting officers use Subpart 6.3 - Other Than Full and Open Competition including Sole Source Justification and Approval and companies can use this process that companies can use to literally justify a sole source contract.

But Zero competition isn't the entire story. The downloadable report (see below) shows that 36,928 companies split over $38.4 Billion and 81% of the time they were 1 of 5 companies competing. How does this happen? Isn't this where you want to be? So the most important thing you can do is - become ONE of the FIVE!

What is Competitor tracking and why is it so important?

The answer is simple - you will never see what is happening if you are only watching SAM.gov. How can this be you ask? Well, there are TWO federal reporting systems that show contract activity - SAM.gov and FPDS.gov. When you compare the yearly 125,000 or so opportunities that hit SAM.gov vs the 6.5 Million awards that hit FPDS.gov, you realize that you are missing 98% of the market. The problem is that you will NEVER see them until after your competitor gets the win. Terrible right?

So what can SAMradar do to help?

Monitor NAICS, PSC, Keywords and Your Competition...

When have SAMradar.com watching your competition like a hawk, the system tells you when that competitor is winning, who they know (the Contracting Officer/Specialist) that is buying from them. This empowers you with the information you need to ACT:

A: Go make yourself known to the buyer

B: Let the Prime winner know you want to do a piece of the work.

Both of these are proactive, relationship building exercises that you cannot possibly do by just watching SAM.gov. To get in the game, you need to see what never shows up on SAM.gov - you know under the radar... That's why you need SAMradar.com - it does the dirty work for you so you can do your #1 job - Build Relationships!
